Citizen of Yorktown: Thomas Nelson Jr., Revolutionary Patriot

Sunday, January 9, 2022

There is no better way to experience Historic Yorktown than taking a stroll with a professional historian! Tour guides Maureen Wiese and J. Michael Moore will provide interesting information and insights not typically found in history books.

Thomas Nelson, Jr. came from a prosperous Yorktown family. His grandfather, Scotch Tom Nelson immigrated from England in 1705 and built a colonial empire in Virginia. Seventy years later, his grandson Thomas caught revolutionary fever! Join us as we walk through the village of Yorktown and learn about Yorktown's most famous son who sacrificed everything for the cause of freedom.

Tour begins and ends at Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters. Must be able to walk at a leisurely pace for an hour, with stops along the way.
