CANCELED Yorktown Civil War Weekend

Due to public health concerns surrounding COVID-19, this event has been canceled for 2020. The museum wants you to know the educational elements they’d developed in collaboration with other community partners will be woven into other events throughout the year.

Join in an exploration of Yorktown’s Civil War history with living history demonstrations and a special "Then & Now" exhibit with historical photographs featured throughout town.

Programs will include living history, artillery firing demonstrations, and costumed guided tours at the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center.  Exhibits and displays at the York County Historical Museum at York Hall, Museum on Main,Custom House, Nelson House, Grace Church, Swan Tavern, Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters, On the Hill Gallery, Riverwalk Landing and Endview Plantation. The Watermen’s Museum will feature maritime exhibits, living history, artillery demonstrations, period music, and children’s activities.
