Yorktown’s Holiday Market Features the Riverwalk Landing Polar Express, Santa, and Toyland Parade!

The Historic Yorktown waterfront will transform into a Christmas wonderland for the final Market Days event of the year. We welcome you to join us for extended hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. This FREE community fun is great for children of all ages. It's also a wonderful opportunity to stock up on goodies for your holiday meals and to shop for gifts to put under your tree!

Schedule of Events

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Shop the special Holiday Farmers Market for wreaths, greenery, and decorations; hot dogs and popcorn; Christmas gift baskets; gourmet dog treats; fresh breads; chowder and soups; baked goods; jams, jellies, and syrups; seasonal produce; homemade soaps; and more!

10:30 a.m. Cooking demonstration from Carrot Tree Kitchens of Yorktown

1 - 3 p.m. Children’s activities take place down from the market in the grassy area near the fountain. The fun will include a colonial Christmas Program from Watermen’s Museum, holiday music performed by “Heart Strings”, holiday arts and crafts for the kids, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Families will also have the opportunity to hop aboard the Riverwalk Landing Polar Express!

1:30 p.m. Toyland Parade: Join the march through Riverwalk Landing led by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Fifes and Drums of Yorktown. Decorate your strollers, wagons, pets, and kids in your most impressive holiday spirit. The SEVA GRREAT Golden group will also have several dogs on site to join in the fun and raise awareness about the breed!

Parking

Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots.  The complimentary, wheelchair accessible Yorktown Trolley will also be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with several convenient stops throughout town.

Yorktown Market Days and the Toyland Parade are presented by the Riverwalk Landing Business Association and York County!
